Bio

Agata Kopydłowska (b. 1986, Warsaw) is an interdisciplinary artist. From an early age, she demonstrated artistic talent and an interest in art, though she is largely self-taught. She is a graduate of the Faculty of Oriental Studies at the University of Warsaw, specializing in Assyriology, and works professionally in graphic design and marketing. She completed a Concept Art course at the private studio “Creativity.” She has been active as an artist since 2018.

The artist’s main areas of focus are abstract painting and realistic drawing. Using a variety of techniques during sessions lasting many hours, she creates extremely detailed paintings that reflect her inner experiences. Currently, watercolor, ink, and fine-liners are her favorite mediums.

Her creative process is characterized by intuition, a focus on detail, and also a sense of spontaneity, as the artist does not control the entire process. At the same time, she finds a calmness during the many hours spent working on details. Creating helps her find inner peace; it acts like meditation—purifying and soothing—facilitating the processing of emotions and coping with mental and physical pain.

From black and white, through the exploration of color, to the use of modern duochrome metallic paints, applying various dotted forms and focusing on drawing lines, her works emerge gradually, honoring the creative process. The journey over the destination. The process over the result.
